iMac 27" 2017 Replacement Screen - How to Spot a Real Apple Panel?

Dear iFixit Reader,

I have a cracked screen on my 27” A1419 from 2019 : the panel sticker reads “LM270QQ1 (SD)(C1)” by “LG Display”.

eBay has too many sellers. Many refusing to answer the simple question of whether “Is your panel by LG Display AND if not will it deliver the SAME color performance and image display speed as my broken LG panel?

So, I am asking the iFixit Community IF anyone knows of an HONEST retailer. And if this question is not allowed THEN does anyone know how to spot a “good” panel from a “bad” one?

Maybe, I should be asking HOW do I even start identifying a good replacement.

Of course, a good scavenged part will be best but these seem rare. And I am not about to pay Apple any more for their small business crushing ways of making life difficult for the DIY community, which is most UN-American as this country was built on Yankee Ingenuity.

Thank you!

.. Carl

@happycarl - Here's the Apple P/N for your display assembly: 661-07323

COVID has messed up many recycle parts suppliers. Right now the suppliers I use in the states don’t have them. The only supplier I also use which has it in the UK: TheBookYard - 27” iMac Retina 5K display Assembly
