Upgrading to SSD - what is this pad and 4 small screws used for?

I just received the kit to upgrade my iMac internal HDD to an SSD. (iMac Intel 21.5" (Late 2012-2019) SSD Upgrade Kit)

With the SSD, there are 4 small screws and a small cushion pad. What are these used for?

The four screws are used to secure your 2.5” drive inside the USB case. The pad is placed on the drive to protect it from banging on the case.
