3rd gen ipod touch 1/8" audio connector is jammed with i think is part of a connector.
i opened up the ipod to discover i couldn't access
the connector saw dust blew out with canned air.
after putting it back together parts of the touch screen do not respond. it seems to be the upper half

make sure that you clean the connector again, it is possible that you dislodged more debris and this prevents it from making contacts. Since your digitizer stopped working after you opened up your iPod, give it a try and see if it is a loose or incorrect connection. My own experience with the digitizer is, that whenever it stops partially working or on specific areas, it is actually the digitizer that needs to be replaced. Good Luck
