Are you sure it is the QSC6085?

When viewing the picture provided in your teardown there was a white sticker completely covering the chip. The reason I ask is because I want to be sure that this phone has this chip or another as from my understanding this chip does not support ev-do rev b.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Brendan, the Epic 4g uses the multifunction Qualcomm QSC6085 for GPS functions. QSC6085 features include support for EV-DO Rev. A with backward compatibility to EV-DO Rel. 0 and CDMA2000. you can read more about on here and here as well. The datasheet is available at this site. Good Luck to you and I hope this is the info you were looking for.
