Is it possible to remove the camera and wifi/BT module?

Hello,

I see the microphone(s) can be removed, is it possible to remove the camera, or disable the connection if the cable runs from the top to the motherboard?

Disabling the Bluetooth, WiFi, Camera and Audio functions is not possible physically. Doing so will in fact break the MacBook Pro so it won’t run properly! There are thermal and voltage sensors throughout your system losing access to them will cause the system to go into Safe Mode which drops the CPU clocking to 1/10th to protect the system from overheating!

The Teal colored chip is the WiFi/BT chip

I think you need to look elsewhere for a computer that is designed from the ground up to be TEMPEST rated.

Thanks, was hoping for something portable that could legally run licensed OSX; might have to look at a mini, then

Sorry even that won't work either ;-{

The newer Mac min's use a chip mounted directly on the logic board (Red marked chip here), unlike the older 2014 and older Mac mini which uses an AirPort board

Even it still uses sensors to lower the systems clocking into Safe Mode as it assumes the system is overheating.

If you really want OS-X you'll need to build a Hackintosh
