Why does my MagSafe2 power adapter's light does not turn on?

i bought this 45w mag safe 2 charger last 2018 and been using it since, and this is the second time it dis not work. although my mac still turns on, it won’t charge and the signal light does not turn on. should i buy a new one or is there anything i can do to make it work? thanks

Have you tried the charger on another macbook or someone else’s charger to see if it’s the macbook or the charger?

i haven't yet, coz no one owns a mac in oir area except for me :(( but i'm planning to go to power mac tomorrow to have it checked if it still won't work. thank you
