Options

Either the bottom cover wasn’t taken off / put on properly or the battery cells are expanding meaning the battery would need to be replaced.

I recommend opening first to make sure, note that once it is open and the cells are indeed expanded the bottom cover won’t be able to put back on until the battery is either removed or replaced.
