No touch after replacing screen on Google Pixel 3 XL

I bought a screen replacement for Google Pixel 3 XL from ifixit, and finally got it mounted. Screen looks good, and phone boots, but it's not responding to touch. Anyone have an idea how to proceed? Really hard to debug as the previous screen was totally destroyed, so can't test with that either.

Regards,

Anders,

Check the connections and make sure the pins are not damaged. Clean them with a qtip and alcohol and soft brush.

Some years have passed since this post, but I ran into the same exact problem.
Before putting the screen into place (glued it into place) I tested the touch and it worked since I powered off the phone using the touch screen.
After placing the screen it somehow stoped working.

Tried rebooting several times and the problem remained (Keeping the PowerButton pressed for a while makes the phone reboot).

It started working after I entered boot mode "PowerButton+DownVolume" and selected the option to "Power Off" phone.
Started the phone again and the touch was fully functional.

Hope it helps someone with this same strange temporary malfunction...
