Face ID module question

Is Face ID tied to front camera module & ear speaker sensor? For instance if I take a original front cam & ear sensor from a ic locked phone & put it in another phone will the Face ID function? I’ve been reading that Face ID is tied to the front cam & ear sensor module. Is it true help please

Face ID is tied to the front camera assembly.

However the earpiece speaker can be transferred via soldering if needed for doing a earpiece speaker replacement.

@benjamen50 why do I need to swap the earspeaker then if Face ID is solely in the front camera assembly?

I meant if you needed to replace a faulty earpiece speaker you can do that.

@benjamen50 so the flex cable that’s connected to the ear speaker is part of Face ID as well?

Yes, the module should come all out together carefully, I would treat that all as the face ID assembly.
