Let's give this a try.

Disconnect the MagSafe as well as any other cord from the system. Then open the system and disconnect the battery again, this time press the power button a good 15 secs. Then plug in the MagSafe cord in the system should spontaneously start. Did it?

If it did then the issue is your battery, if not then your logic board has issues.

Dan, thanks for your respond. Unfortunately, it still does not reboot. What is the Magsafe LED indicator suppose to be with the battery disconnected? Mine started with green then amber.

The MagSafe LED color is controlled by SMC. I'm less concerned with it at this point as its working and doing what is expected.

If you followed my directions then you have a logic board issue, likely the CPU and or its power services have failed.
