Pull the vertical sync ribbon cable out of its socket?

Just curious: is this a rigid cable that will slide back into place once I am reassembling it? Anything else I should know about it?

Thanks

Will

Update

btw, what is this cable for anyway? and if broken, how vital and costly is it to replace?

It is a rigid cable that slides into its socket. You can see this up close in step 5 here.

I haven't been into this one yet, but be sure there is not a little brown plastic flip up holding it in place. These are very easy to overlook and oh so easy to break and impossible to get the part to repair it
