Repairing a Dell 2005FPW monitor

The problem started with a slight flickering of the display, like the back light was being reduced in brightness.

Now the monitor powers on but displays nothing while connected to the PC. If I disconnect the PC then sometimes it will display the no signal bouncing box, but not all the time. When first powering the LCD on the is asmall light that appears at the top and bottom of the screen.

Is this repairable and is it worth it? This one of two matched monitors so I'll be stuck buying two if I have to replace this with a different model.

+ for rj713. As for Wayne Howarth, it will depend on your comfort level in trouble shooting and ultimately, trying to repair your monitor. Could just be as simple as a few caps ( those do have a tendency to fail) or something more in depth.
