White vertical line on left side of display

After replacing my battery and charging dock, I now get a white vertical line on the left side of the screen. It goes from the top to the bottom of the display. It’s on the screen when it boots up and when it’s on the home screen, but not when the screen times out.

Answer this question I have this problem too

It sounds like you damaged the screen when you removed the battery. The only way to fix it is to replace the screen. Sorry for the bad news

Unfortunately the phone parts cost about the same price of a used phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy s10 plus that I bought off of someone who needed money and got a great deal. I only paid 300 dollars and it was in perfect condition. The fact that if I damage the screen it will almost cost as much to fix it than what I paid for it. And I am talking about the cost of parts. I can repair it myself. I would recommend getting an iPhone. They are quite a lot cheaper to repair. Even if you get the new iPhone se 2020 a new screen only costs about 25 dollars, you can use the screen from a iPhone 8. I hope you find a new phone.
