Upgrade RAM by replacing logic board the same model

Hello All

I have MacBook Pro 15 right now late 2013 and I am planning to upgrade by the RAM by replacing the entire logic board with the same model

the one that I have currently is with CPU core i7 integrated graphics card and 8 GB of RAM, i want to replace it with the same logic board model, but with 16 GB of RAM.

the question Is, will it work without any issue? is there any compatibility risks that I should consider before I buy the logic board.

thanks in advance.

Answer this question I have this problem too

There is no problem doing this. However whether it is a feasible economic move, look at the price your current machine would bring on eBay. Now add the cost of the logic board and see if it’s a better deal to just sell yours and buy an upgraded machine. If you upgrade your machine you will not be able to sell it for near the price of a stock machine.
