I just replaced the keyboard on a Asus UX303UB and it is possible but there are no guides that show this process. I used the existing guides to open the case and take out the battery. The rest was done by logic hope and luck. The model I took apart had 2 fans, and 2 heat sink and also required me to break out the old keyboard. There is a youtube showing this but it is not an ifixit video. My internal layout was a bit different as well. It has12 gig Ram and a 2.5 inch SSD also in the computer.

The keyboard replacement fit perfectly over the studs left from the old board which was held in by the studs which were melted to hold the board in. The spludger worked great to pry it off but it was scary and I did it only because the original key board had 2 broken keys, one being the off/on key. The replacement key board fit and is held in by the brackets and mother board and cooling systems and I can not see that the melted studs were essential to the function, maybe done to aid in its original construction. Definitely not for a machine in warranty but mine was 5 years old so I gave it a try.
