Will a display from a 2009 iMac 27” fit a 2010 or 2011 iMac 27”?

This is the glass and the LCD.

Let’s start with the glass. Yes it is interchangeable.

Sorry no, Apple loves making things unique! You’ll need to get the correct cover glass/display for the given system.

2010:

  • Cover glass - Apple P/N 922-9469
  • LCD panel - Apple P/N 661-5568, LG # LM270WQ1(SD)(C2)

2011:

  • Cover glass - Apple P/N 922-9833
  • LCD panel - Apple P/N 661-5970, LG # LM270WQ1 (SD)(E3)

The mounting and T-CON board on the backside of the LCD panel is whats different between them
