WIFI not working after replacing lightening connector

I replaced the lightening connector assembly and everything seemed to go back together just fine, but after starting up the phone again, the wifi is not working. Specifically, the wifi cannot be enabled, the switch in settings is off, and cannot be turned on.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

When replacing the lightning connector, did you remove the logic board or just lift it up?

by

If removed could have damaged the wifi antenna signal flex or even ripped the flex to it.

@Jade Richards I did completely remove the logic board and then re-installed. I guess my first step would be to re-open and inspect the wifi antenna component and its connections. I'll do that and post any updates!

In my experience, when something is grayed out on iPhones it’s because that component is not functioning. I have also seen a bad rear camera cause the flashlight to not work. It’s likely you accidentally damaged the Wi-Fi antenna.

It’s also possible that the connector is not clicked in correctly. There is also a screw that holds a bracket to the frame. Not sure if this grounds anything but that could also be a potential reason this is not working.
