MacBook air (mid 2009) beeps every five seconds after keyboard connect

Hi!

So, I was trying to fix a mid 2009 (A1304) macbook air and concluded the keyboard was probably broken. So, I disconnected the ribbon cable for the keyboard and started the macbook using the power pads, and it worked!

Genius as I am, I (let’s say accidentally) reconnected the keyboard ribbon connector while the computer was booting. After that, it will only give me a beep every five seconds.

Now, I know this is stating there is a ram problem, but since the ram on a macbook air is soldered onto the logic board… does this mean this macbook air is probably fried?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Ouch! Not good!

Yes you do need to make sure things are off before connecting or reconnecting things. Time for a new logic board sorry ;-{
