Leaking at the bottom

I have a side by side Whirlpool and we have the water turned off in the back but yet we still have water that leaks out from the bottom of the freezer side. This has been an on and off thing for a month now. Any suggestions?

If the defrost drain is frozen, the water will overflow the drain trough and drip down to the bottom of the compartment. This water can eventually leak onto the floor. Check the defrost drain to determine if it is clogged or frozen. If the defrost drain is frozen, thaw the ice.

The leak could be from defrosting the ice. There is a cycle to defrost the ice and usually the water is evacuated trough a pipe to a small reservoir on the top of the compressor to evaporate (once or twice every 24hrs). You need to check if the water goes to the right place and to make sure the pipe is not blocked (damaged).
