12 TB WD Power Connector Broken on Hard Drive?

Hi, I have this 12 TB WD Gold Hard drive and when I plug it into a computer externally it doesn’t recognize it in disk manager or terminal. Hard drive boots up and moves like it is doing something, but nothing shows on computer. I noticed the side of the power connecter broke off but counted the pins and all the pins are still on hard drive. I have no idea why this is happening and don’t know what to do as this is an expensive hard drive and is not under warranty anymore unfortunately.

Does anyone know how to fix this or what I should do?

Thank you in advance.

hard to see but it doesn't look like any pins got affected by this. There is always a possiblity that the force of breaking the connector dislodged something on the circuit board. We'd have to see more of it. Also, post some pictures of the label from this drive with your question. It might help us in determining what is going on with it.

I just updated my post with more photos of the drive.

See if your part # on the controller board is 001-0A90601

You may have to replace the controller board. Here’s how that’s done:

Unfortunately I couldn't find that number on my hard drive but I updated the post with more pictures of the hard drive. I hope there is a replacement part for this controller board.

Go for the number on the board, not the drive. You may need to remove the board to find it. The photo is to blurry for me to read and of the numbers on the white sticker.

@mayer I just added better picture of those numbers but shouldn't the hard drive be okay and still run because all pins are still there. is buying another motherboard the only option because a replacement motherboard for this hard drive is expensive.

That #0J49795 number brought up these possible solutions, both about $60:

@mayer Thank you I shipped the drive to them.
