Computer will not startup. Have attempted force restart and other similar methods of rebooting with no success. The charging light is on when plugged in.
Any tips on how to proceed? Could it be water damaged? Unsure about it as it still seems to charge. Any help appreciated

The easiest way to check for liquid damage is to open the system take a good look for any damaged parts or staining.
Take the time to clean out the dust use a small soft brush to scrub the logic board, fan’s & case parts. Use a can of can’ed air to blow the debris away.
To isolate out the deeper issues follow this guide to disconnect the battery MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2015 Battery Replacement follow it to Step 5 with the battery disconnected as well as anything else plugged in press the power button for a good minute to fully discharge the logic board. Now plug in the MagSafe charger the system should spontaneously boot, did it?
If not you have a deeper issue. If it did you have a battery/charging logic issue.
