Is it possible to use a fire TV without the fire stick and remote?

My boyfriend recently bought a display TV from Best Buy (Insignia 55” Fire TV), and it didn't come with anything. Just the TV. Is it possible to use the TV without the fire stick and remote? We know about apps that can substitute remotes, we just need to connect it to the wifi, if possible. Is it possible

If you just bought it, was it sold as incomplete? If not then you'll need to return it to get a replacement with the rest of the missing pieces.

If it was a display model they should still have the rest of the pieces in a box in the back room.

In any case you'll need to get the remote from them.

Hi,

Not totally sure but if the TV doesn’t have any controls such as Menu, Vol Up/Down, Input etc then it can’t be done. The TV menu settings to set up the TV (including WiFi) can only be accessed by using the remote control.

It may be easier just to buy a replacement remote control unit or find someone who has the same model TV and borrow theirs to set up the TV, so that you can then use an app that can control it from a phone.

Feel for controls on the bottom of the frame. They are usually there, just not visible normally. Lean the display forward and get down and look.

We've inspected the TV all over. Currently we're looking for a universal remote
