Top Load LG WT1101CW Washer OE code wont spin

I have an LG WT1101CW washer that has the OE code. It appears to drain the water but when it gets to 13 minutes left, when it goes to spin cycle, it just turns slowly without spinning. It has a new pump and the hose is clear but I am wondering if the PC board is the problem. Any ideas what to try next?

Found this thread via Google. Im having the same issue. LG top load washer is showing an OE error. Ive verified my lines are clear and unlinked, replaced the drain pump, and replaced the main control board. After replacing the control board, I did get the error cleared and got about 8 loads of laundry through before it threw the same OE error.

I'm at a loss. Any other suggestions?

Check for a kinked or clogged drain hose. Test the drain pump. Here’s how to do it:

Assuming the TUB IS SPINNING but does not get the water out of your clothing…

Make sure the washer is programmed to the correct wash cycle, different cycles have different speeds!

Make sure the drain hose on the back of the washer is not clogged or bent.

Check that the drain hose on back of washer is positioned correctly in standpipe and is able to drain properly.

Check the drain pump debris filter or coin trap, objects may be blocking the water flow.

Check inside drain pump and all hoses connected to drain pump for foreign debris or small pieces of clothing.

Be sure the wash load of clothing is balanced, balance out the wash load if you see all clothing to one side.

Check washer belt to be sure it is not stretched out or damaged. (for most top loaders)

Check direct drive motor coupling system to be sure there is no visible damage. (for most front loaders)

Lid switch or door lock assembly may be damaged or bent and not making the electrical safety “connection”.

Forgot to mention that this is a top load washer. I installed new pump and confirmed drain hose is clear.

Wife tried the close/open lid 6 times reset as well.

Ok, try this one, may be a clogged drain line:

That video is how to replace a pump. That has been done. it drains the tub but will not go into spin cycle.

I am having the same issue. My theory is that the 6501EA1001R LG Washer Water Pressure Switch is failing causing the machine to over fill on its water. The pump seams to drain during its first few drain cycles just fine but at around 13-14 minutes it spins slowly. I figure if the switch was telling the machine it was full of water it would explain why it would be spinning slowly. Also the drain pump tries and tries to pump out water which supports this theory… It says this problem was solved, but which one form the list solved it?

Found this thread by a google search, mine machine just started having the same issue of not draining when it gets to the final spin cycle. Can’t figure out why, drain lines are clear and the pump will work other times. Is replacing that pressure switch still working for you?

yes it is. Sorry for the extremely late reply

I am also thinking to buy a new one instead of adding more $. I am surprised that LG does not have a solution and it seems to be a common problem. After new pump at Wash drum is spinning and at Spin it was washing. The whole cycle is messed up now.
