Why is my screen not coming on? My power button light is on

My power button light is on. The battery indicator light is on. The power indicator light is on too. But my screen is blank

Here is what I want you to do: Power on your laptop, grab a flashlight, and shine it through the back of your laptop. Do you see anything? A logo, an error message, a desktop? Let me know.

Thank you for your response John. No there isn't any message or anything when I use a flashlight. The laptop has refused to turn off. The power light has been on for hours. If I remove the battery it goes off and comes on when I put it back in. The battery indicator light is also blinking

Hi Chinwe, Have you tried connectioning an external monitor? If it works then you know the graphics display card is good. Next step is to check the screen connector and the screen.
