Two screws not coming loose on side of iPhone?

I have tried unscrewing two of the Iphone 3g screws that are located on the side (under the tape) Nothing I seem to do will make these screws come out. The phone got wet a while back and I feel like they must've rusted in place. I cracked my screen and all I have to do to replace it is get these two screws off! Any advice would be wonderful.

Being very careful to not damage the Display LCD, gently tap with small hard object the metal frame where the screws are to help loosen them up. Go slowly and start very gently, do not damage the Display LCD which is very delicate. Do not strip the screw heads or that will be your next problem.
