Replaced battery, but battery percentage not reading correctly

I replaced my battery with the ifixit battery. Followed all the battery conditioning instructions to the T. I have tried resetting the SMC. Nothing is seeming to fix the problem. I use my laptop off the charger it runs down to about 20-30% percent in 1-2 hours, then drops to 7% and stays at 7-6% for a few more hours but during the use, while its reading 7-6% the performance of the laptop is Dramatically Worse. It becomes very laggy and essentially useless.

I’m going to try reseating the battery connector and resetting the SMC again to see if that does anything

I have also charged the battery fully +2 Hours then drained fully and recharged about 5 times hoping it would slowly recalibrate. It did improve from the beginning but far from satisfactory.

I'm very distressed by this. It seems many customers received bad batteries. Performing that swap took 2+ hours (removing adhesive with what amounts to nail polish remover!). Apple's repair fee is suddenly looking a whole lot more like a value, comparatively.

Sounds like a good battery with a bad logic, after 5 full charge cycles one can’t expect things to get much better . Just contact their customer service, they’ll send a replacement.
