Forgot iPhone 7 Passcode But Have Fingerprint

I have forgotten my iPhone 7 passcode, but still can unlock it with my fingerprint. Now the problem is, when I connect the iPhone to a computer, it requires me to enter a device passcode to trust this computer. Without my iPhone passcode, I can’t have the computer to access my iPhone. How can I solve this problem? Is there a way to reset my iPhone 7 passcode when I have forgotten it?

iPhone requires you to enter your old passcode to change or turn off your passcode. Therefore, when you forget your iPhone passcode, there is no direct way to reset it. All you can do is remove the passcode by restoring the iPhone. According to Apple’s solution, you can restore your iPhone to the factory settings using recovery mode, which deletes all of your data and settings, including the passcode and Touch ID. However, this is not the only way. If you have an Apple ID on your iPhone and you remember the password, you can erase your iPhone data in an easier and faster way through iCloud. For the detailed steps, refer to this post: Forgot iPhone 7 Passcode but Have Fingerprint. Don’t forget to backup your data with iCloud before you perform the erase. I hope this is useful.

Thanks. This helped me a lot. Erased my data through iCloud, then set a new passcode.

Without a passcode, you cannot get back to it without doing a complete erase and restore.

But actually, you have several tips to reset iPhone passcode:

Use iCloud: Sign in iCloud.com with apple ID and password, then all idevice with the same Apple ID will appear on Find My iPhone feather, lcick on the iPhone you want to reset the password, then click on Erase to erase all settings and data on iPhone. Then you can reset iPhone passcode. but you should know the iPhone apple ID and password.

Force factory reset:

1: Connect iPhone to computer, and launch iTunes or finder then.

2: Press and release on volume up button, then press and release volume down button, press and hold on power button, when iPhone screen goes to black, press and hold on volume down button.

3: After 5 seconds, release power button but still press and hold on volume down button. Release volume down button when connect to iTunes logo appears on iPhone .

You should enter Apple ID and password to bypass the activation lock also. Then reset iPhone password.
