I have done absolutely everything mentioned here and my PS4 PRO still experiences failure to stay connected to the internet.
It’s 18 months old and the warranty is already void. It never has had this problem before and all of a sudden it fails to stay connected to the internet for extended periods of time. There are no other issues with my PlayStation.
Included in the things I have tried are: restarting the router, restarting the PS4, using DNS to setup, reformatting the PS4, updating the firmware, trying a different WiFi network, moving my brother’s PS4 next to mine and using both side by side (his PS4 has no issues for hours and stays connected to the internet in the same room on the same table), sending it into a repair shop to deep clean, then going back and having the WiFi/Bluetooth chip replaced, then going back again to have the Antennas replaced.
NONE OF THE ABOVE SEEM TO HAVE SOLVED MY PROBLEM.
The only two things I have not done is to use a LAN cable because I live in shared housing and trying to select 2.5 vs 5ghz since these options are not available. It can only auto select.
Can anyone please help? I have no clue what step to take next. There are no brand new PS4 or PS5 consoles available for sale in my country.
