What material is the display data cable (IF110-005-1) made off?

I’m scrapping my old iPad 2 as it stopped working and I didn’t bother repairing it. Does Dows anyone knows what material the display data cable (IF110-005-1) is made off? I’m specifically looking for the material of the wires running between the two coathanger-like gold-colored components, and the material of said coathanger—like components. Thanks in advance.

Answer this question I have this problem too

noah this is one of those questions that makes us go “HMMMM”, wonder why you are asking for those specifics. Anyhow, that would be copper for the wires and Nickel and Brass (plated) for the connector. Anything deeper than that would require you to send the cable to a Materials Science Center for materials analysis services.

sounds like he is thinking of salvaging the precious metals.

@mayer sorry but there aren't any :-) the real value "iPad 2 as it stopped working and I didn’t bother repairing it" here would be to at least try to repair things instead of tossing it.
