Phone does nothing after battery replacement.

I bought the kit from ifixit to replace the battery on my pixel that was having charging issues. Everything went smoothly after I got the iopener to the right temperature, however after reassembly the phone doesn’t do anything. I can’t tell if it is charging or not (95% sure the screen was not damaged in the process), sadly I cannot call it to test it out otherwise since this was a backup phone I was going to after a main-board failure on my primary phone.

Is it possible to have gotten a bad battery in my kit, or is there another way to check screen health without going through finding one to purchase?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @curds301

Keep it on the charger for at least 30 minutes. Really dead batteries can take a while to charge for the first time. If you do not see any picture after 1 hour, it is definitely a bad LCD.

I have tried leaving it plugged in, and no luck. There's no apparent damage to the screen that I can see. Is it common for the screen to stop working without visible damage?

It's not common but it is possible. Try to get one with a good return policy in case there is some other type of damage.

Any recommendations on a vendor? Seems ifixit has everything except the screen up for sale.

Edit: I found a vendor that has just the screens. Thanks for the help.

Glad you found something that will work! I've used this supplier a lot in the past and been happy with part quality and return policy:
