What is the black part in the iMac's usb?

Hello:

Could you say me what is the black part in the iMac's USB ports? I saw it in the teardown. It is surrounding the USB ports. Is it an EMI protection?

Thanks

It insures that you plug the connector in correctly.

Hello again:

I was thinking about your answer, but I think that this black part isn´t a part that insures that you plug the conector in correctly. I have taken a picture of the Imac's teardown.

I think it is a kind of antistatic or EMI protection, isn´t it?

Thanks again.

(I´m from Spain and I don´t speak a lot of English. Sorry for mistakes).
