820-00239 logic board - temp sensor orientation.

Would someone be able to tell me the orientation position of U5860 on the 820-00239 logic board.

I can only make out a couple of numbers but not the dot so I will have to go with which way the numbers face.

@imicrosoldering U5860 is a TI TMP461 sensor. Here is the datasheet for it. With the writing on the sensor up Pin 1 is to the top left. On your board pin 1 is the bottom left pin so the writing would face to the outside (left hand side).

Due to the size of the sensor,the direction of the sensor is not visible on the teardown .

Thanks for that. The Mac arrived with paperwork saying “Chip got knocked off” along with the sensor taped to it. It didn’t say all the pads were also missing so I will have to turtle it. I can usually determine which is pad one on the chip if it has two grounds which it has but they must be separate or the chip is faulty. Thanks again Oldturkey.
