The Motorola Xoom is an Android-based tablet computer by Motorola, introduced at CES 2011 on January 5, 2011. It is the first tablet to run Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
Does anyone know what the purposed upgrade board is to perform or what is installed on the board?

Steps 4 and 5 of our Teardown show what appears to be the Wi-Fi module, which would likely be replaced by an LTE-friendly wireless module. As for the "purpose," it's all about being able to use your Xoom on the LTE network.
