Battery calibration on a new device

Hey! How important is it to calibrate your battery on a new device?

I got my iPad Pro yesterday and it had 92%. I let it drain until it shutdown and let it charge back to 100% and left it plugged in for about 1-2 more hours. Is it good enough or do I have to charge it to 100% before beginning to drain it in order to calibrate it?

You are fine if you are calibrating to 92%.

Do it again and let it go to 100% to calibrate it.

Use a Mac with Coconut Battery installed to monitor the calibration.

Thanks! I charged it to 100% so now I’ll just discharge it until it shuts off.

I don’t have a Mac tho so unfortunately I can’t use Coconut Battery.

@arbaman may know of a program similar to Coconut Battery that will work on a PC.
