Display Assembly replacement unsuccessfull

Gonna be honest. I bought a display assembly from ebay (not from you guys, sorry), tryin' to save some money. My wife's iphone 3G glass was crashed and the digitizer wasn't also workin properly. So, i bought here the toolkit to try doin it myself. Followed the guide, but after i connect the 3 ribbon cables, i push power button and nothin happens. Just don't turn on. Then, i try putting it back the broken one, and also nothing happens. As you suggested, i first done my search here, to find some helpful answers, but no good. Now, the thing is, that the power button was workin' properly before. Second, when i plug in the usb cable to the pc, it makes sound and vibration. But, i founded the answer tellin that "probably was the 1st ribbon cable that connects the digitizer, that probably was disconnected", but i connected a million times already and still the same. Can you guys turn some lights on, on this one????

You may need to just press the power and the home buttons for 10 seconds to reset your phone.. it works 9/10 on this problem.

but....

Honestly.. connector 1 is a right royal pain in the proverbials sometimes. You need to check that you have the right part (not a 3gs) that all the connectors are on and not popping up as you close the display. Look at the pins on both sides of the connection--give them a phooof, (technical term for blowing air lol)wipe with alcohol etc.

My friend, this was just a great tip. In the manual doesn't talk nothin about givin' a reset to the iPhone, so i was thinkin' the problem was me. But no, you're wright. I did that and in the beginnin it was showin up a white screen with a lot of line failures, but then with some careful and patience i connected the ribbons well and it just popped up the charge battery icon. Cheers, bro. Will follow you guys for sure. Now, just gonna test for a couple of days to check everythin is alright. Regards.
