Stick to OEM specs. You will not see the BIOS with most upgrades, might be really important when troubleshooting later. Other World Computing aka MacSales.com is a great place to find just what you need if you don't use Apple store or AppleCare. No, I do not work for or own this company...

Chosen Solution

Your system came with a ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro with 256 MB VRAM - Apple P/N 661-4426

Sadly you really can’t use anything else as the version of MXM interface your system has won’t support any of the newer boards.

This is what your board looks like

The board is MXM not PCI or PCIe so none of these will work. I posted a picture of the board in my answer so you can see how different it is.

Here's one for sale TheBookYard - iMac Alu 24" ATI Radeon HD 2600, 256MB (07) This board also comes with the needed heat sink assembly.
