Not Being Recognized On iTunes

When I plug my iPod into my computer, it instantly says connected. The icon for my iPod pops up in my desktop (I have an Apple) but nothing happens in iTunes. If I eject it, it will instantly (within a second or two) reconnect to my computer, before I can unplug it. What do I do?

Aram, dealing with a iPod video right now that has the same issues as yours. Hopefully get it fixed in a few hours and will keep you informed..

Great that the reset worked for you. I just got mine done and I did have to switch the logic board due to a bad dock connector. Good Luck to you and your iPod.

I went to the Apple store to fix a friends laptop. While I was there I asked the man at the genius bar to look at my iPod. It had Stopped displaying the letters: V, X, Q and all numbers. He said the files where corrupt. He attached it to my friends computer and it worked fine. He hit the restore button and everything on my iPod worked. When I got home, I attached it to my computer and it worked for 1 min. My iPod is still showing previous effects.

I would try restoring it to factory specs. Here's how to do it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1339
