The March 2015 update of Apple's 13" MacBook Pro Retina Display, model A1502, features fifth-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and introduces the Force Touch trackpad.

My MacBook Pro's "T" button not working...

Hi guys,

I have a strange problem with my laptop’s "T" button (early 2015 Macbook Pro Retina 13”). Just this key is not working and it’s behaviour is very strange. Sometimes after long pressing for many seconds it’s seems to be working again, for a few letters and sometimes it’s working for several minutes normally or writing double letters…

After param reset it’s worked yesterday for some minutes but today it doesn’t helped…

Do you have any advise? Is it a SW or HW failure?

Best regards,

Peter

Most likely a hardware failure. To be sure, boot in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift key on start up and see if the problem persists.

UPDATE

Here’s how to replace the keyboard:

Hi Mayer,

I've did it yesterday evening, but nothing changed... :(

If it's a HW failure than, what do you think, how can this fixed? Theoretically which part can generate this issue?

Best regards,

Peter
