Please check the following useful video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eFbzDk9YpO... (it is not mine). If the settings and reset have all been completed it is possible that the home button ribbon cable was damaged so please check that after all else has been done.

i 'v seen this video, but it still doesn't explain exactly how to fix the problem. And secon is that device isn't reinstalled in the video. So i am still not sure how to fix after reinstall of OS.

The original button has to be transplanted over to the new screen if its transplanted over and nothing is damaged ie the long home button flex under the screen and the home button itself then you shouldnt loose touch id. If u booted the phone without the home button to try the screen then touchid wont work till u restart the phone again.

If it doesn't work after a screen then u really did damage something either on the flexes or on the board itself u need to inspect carefully

Restoring, resetting etc will not help and is pure nonsense

A new home button original or copy made out of gold or chinesium will never work no matter what u do unless it is done by apple anyone that tells u otherwise is wrong, the only hope for touchid is the original button which was with the phone and paired with the cpu if its damaged the only way to get it to work is to try ur best to fix .

will it help if i order a new display with home button pre-installed?

The home button is unique to the phone it is paired to the phone it is the one and only home button for that exact phone without apple pairing a new one... u can get it done at Apple if u like they will replace the screen with a new button and pair it up for u. Other than that either fix the old button or see what's wrong with it

It is the fingerprint sensor that is paired to the home button so for Touch ID you must keep the same home button. The JerryRig Everything YouTube series: IPhone 6 display replacement, shows the process in good detail. I have followed those tutorials and they are excellent. Good luck.
