This is most likely due to an internal CR2032 battery failing inside the console which keeps the time even when the machine is unplugged from the wall. In the link provided you can see the small circular battery on the front board assembly that would need to be replaced. You can find most of these batteries at your local dollar store. I have also attached a tear down link for you to follow so you can replace this with ease.
