If my cord comes out battery wont charge when reconnected.

This is a very strange problem. When the cord comes out of magnetic charging part on the macbook it stops charging like normal. The problem is when I reconnect it does not continue to charge. To get it to recharge I have to remove the battery then plug it back in then the green light will come back on to recharge. Then I can put the battery back in and it will work until the cord gets pulled off or unplug it. Any thoughts?

Good Question Matt. The first thing I would most likely do is check the cables to to the charging circuit. This would be the cable from the Magsafe board to the motherboard and the battery connector on the computer side to motherboard. If they all look good and plug in and out ok I would change out the Magsafe board with a known good one.

MacBook Core 2 Duo Magsafe Board Replacement

If still no luck the third thing I'd look at is how important it is to me check to see if a replacement motherboard could be gotten.

Good luck

Tried to replace the magsafe board. That didn't work. It still has the same issues. I guess the only thing left is to replace the logic board. I don't think its that big for me thought. Plus I dont have the money to replace it. Oh well thanks for helping :)

Thanks for the answer. I didn't even think of the Magsafe Board. I will check the connections first and the wires. I don't think that will be the case. I will try out replacing the board next.

I will let you know the outcome of this problem! Thanks again!!
