iPhone 5S DO NOT TURN ON/VIBRATE/SOUND/displays nothing

My phone was well and good working without any issue, i kept it in my tight jeans pocket, i used the device 3 hours back and later when pressed the power button for using, it was not displaying anything the battery was charged more than 70% so i took to the repair shop he pressed at the top corners and pressed power button and home button for few seconds, Then the display TURNED ON but had to press some corners on the top continously but the display was not for long time as the fingers move the display turned off,

the repair person told to change the display as its been pressed in the pockets,

MY QUESTION

1) if the display is not working it should atleast vibrate/sound when connected to the charging but its not.

2) When i connect to i tunes it says “please respond on your iphone to connect”, but i cant as the display is not turning on

3)Earlier when i use to connect to the PC it was showing external device connected as iphone but now it doesnt show any icon on my pc

PLEASE HELP ME OUT OF THIS ISSUE.

Thanks for the above answers Ben,

Please suggest me should I go to hardware check up or its just purely a display issue to replace with new

1) Some iPhones will not do this if the phone is on silent / do not disturb phone. Also in some cases screens with no display can cause no power problems so it’s always good to try another screen.

2) That means the iPhone is turning on fine and is booting to the lock screen, just with no display.

3) The phone would need to be unlocked again to access the iPhone if it was turned off previously (e.g flat battery or holding the power + home button to do a hard reset).

I’ve had this very issue with the 5S. Sometimes the screen will go bad and when it does it can cause the phone to appear dead, sometimes it won’t even appear in iTunes, won’t vibrate… nothing. Replacing the screen will 9/10 fix your issue :)
