Android phone keeps repeating characters when I try to login

I have an Android LML413DL, and it will not let me complete a login, because when I try to type in characters, it keeps repeating them….

Like, I type in zll, which is the beginning of my login Email, and it adds several Zs and Ls to it, almost like it is trying to auto-fill the field for me, but it messes me up….

Can I turn this off somehow, and Thanks in advance!!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

If this is on a website, some websites don’t play well with the stock keyboard software (or rather, the LG keyboard software doesn’t play well with some websites).

Solution:

Try installing a second, opensource keyboard:

https://search.f-droid.org/?q=keyboard&l...

You can find one here (personally, I use either Hacker’s Keyboard, or else Simple Keyboard).

FDroid is a great alternative to the Google Play Store — it’s highly reputable, has been around for a decade (since the first Android phones came out), and is entirely free & open-source software — 100% legit, no ‘cracks’.

https://search.f-droid.org/?q=keyboard&l...

https://f-droid.org/

You’ll need to allow installing apps from the browser (it will prompt you to go into Settings with a dialogue button), and then you hit Back after toggling “Allow apps from this source”.

If you install the Fdroid store itself (recommended), then you’ll need to allow from there, too.

The FDroid app will take a bit to update all the repositories of software (catalogues) to choose from.

After doing so, hit the green circle with the magnifying glass — in the lower left corner — to Search.

In the searchbar inside FDroid app, type in keyboard

look for Simple Keyboard, tap on it, then tap Install.

You may also want to install the Keyboard Switcher app, to easily switch between different keyboards (if you want to keep using your original keyboard most of the time).
