Black screen after startup with the chime sound

Urgent help needed!!

I bought new logic board, for my 27” iMac late 2012,

I followed the IFIXIT video instruction exactly as showed, and I replaced my board with the new one and afterwards I turned on my iMac and heard the chime, but it has a black screen!

I don't really know what's wrong, can anyone give me a clear reason for this problem.

Answer this question I have this problem too

What video did you follow? I don't know of an iFixit video replacing the logic board for this system.

Also why did you think you needed to replace the logic board? The more detail here might give us an idea what the issue is.

Oh might not be ifixit video, the reason I change the logic board was the display was showing line and I can hardly see a thing and the mouse won't move the way it use to, I have a video. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ipctuawd51u1y7...

Where are you located?

I think your real issue is a bad power supply given the vid. Do you have your system plugged into a surge suppressor or better yet a UPS.

I am here in Nigeria, even as that the screen should have boot up just the way it was before.

For reference here’s the iFixit guide on how to replace the logic board iMac Intel 27" EMC 2546 Logic Board Replacement You might want to review it to see if something stands out differently than what you did.

Hello I been servicing HDTV and monitors for over 25yrs, if you replaced the logic board and still get the same issue or no screen, then this may be a panel issue. The panel matrix is faulty and need to replace. Replaced the screen. Also have the power supply checked for Leaky capacitors or ones that are swollen on its tops.
