Earpiece Speaker works but not the Proximity Sensor

After replacing the battery I found that the Proximity Sensor doesn't work. The earpiece speaker works fine which bring me doubts if the problem is the cable #3. Help please? Thanks!

Just in case I did all the resetting available including restoring the phone.

Update

I changed the cable #3 but still having the same problem.

It does sound like Flex Cable #3 is the problem. You could carefully open the iPhone, and reconnect #3 to see if this fixes it. Or replace Flex Cable #3.

The #3 ribbon can be damaged to the point where the ear piece still works and proximity sensor doesnt, or vice versa. Swap it out and you should be fine. DIY here:
