Kenmore 500 series fix it yourself
I have a kenmore 500 series washer that restarts by itself after cycle finishes, unless I open lid or stop by switch

If it restarts when you close the door, the push to start switch has shorted out. Replace it.
I can better give you a solution if I have the model number.

I have a Kenmore washer 500 model 110.25132411. My washer won’t restart it has a blinking green light on the spin. I can open the top of the washer which the lock isn’t on. I have it set on normal cycle. My washer has been making loud noises due to being unbalanced before as well a little water left in the. Washer I noticed today when I was gonna start a load to wash. I unplugged it and waited to plug it back in and when it was on spin/rinse it made a noise like it was trying to start. Now I have it in normal and no sound or anything I have the push to start washing machine. Any help I would greatly appreciate it a lot. Thanks,

My Kenmore 500 HE will restart itself after the wash cycle is complete if I don't open the lid. It will restart itself at the end when it is complete unless I open the lid- it will do this forever.
What is the model number of the washer?

I have a kenmore 500 series washer and it seems to be out of balance. springs seem to be fine. what else could it be?
