voltage sensor cpu error code for popping static while playing audio?

Im not sure what the problem is or where to start. The error code I get is:

4SNS/1/40000001:VC5R-1.400

I have a mid 2011 IMAC running Sierra. I’m not sure if this is a leaking capacitor or a bad power supply or bad logic board. Im not sure where to start looking.

If I am listening to audio I start to hear popping static and that just gets worse and worse.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Looking at the schematic VC5R is CPU VDD 1.5V error. This is a voltage divider logic problem on the logic board.

You’ll need to find someone with the skills to properly diagnose out what component has failed on your logic board and can fix it. Otherwise you’ll need a new logic board.

I took it apart and fiddled around with the wire and ports to see if it might be a loose connection and I did the diagnostic again and it showed nothing wrong. I hope that is all it was and it doesn't come back. Time will only tell. Thank you for looking it up. I couldn't find the schematics for it anywhere.
