Phone is disabled for 5 mins after every reboot

I did a LCD Assembly and Battery replacement for a client and every time I restart the phone it says it’s disabled for 5 mins. It also says that it’s unable to activate touch ID. I am not aware if this was already a problem before I did the screen and battery replacement. This doesn’t seem to be a common issue, I can’t seem to find any information on this issue with a quick google search.

You will have to wait the requisite 5 minutes and then enter the proper passcode. The delay was most likely caused because an incorrect passcode was entered. Be careful, if you continue to enter the wrong passcode a few times more, it will be locked forever.

As for TouchID, it is possible that the HB flex was damaged during the repair. This could be at the HB level or the flex on the replacement screen could be damaged. It really doesn’t take much of a tear so inspect it under magnification.

That’s why, whenever possible, you want to do a full systems check on the device before opening it up. That way you’ll know what issues were already present and what issues you potentially caused.

@mayer Yeah, that's weird...some days you can get more than 200 points and others less. I think their clock isn't always resetting properly.
