iPhone 5 Screen Popping Off

Hi, so my iPhone 5 screen is popping off and is only held by the adhesive on the bottom third of the phone. I was wondering if the battery was somehow swelling and is causing this problem. The battery wear is at 19% according to the battery life app. Also, if I were to open the screen, how would I seal up the phone again? Does iFixit sell adhesive strips of the iPhone 5?

Yes that would be a swollen battery. A new battery will fix this issue. The screen is not secured with adhesive. You are seeing the bezel that is secured to the screen with adhesive. Clips on the side of the screen are what hold the screen down along with pentalobe screws at the bottom. When you replace the battery, make sure that the adhesive connecting the bezel to the screen is still tacky. Usually a little bit of heat can fix that issue if its not.
