question about song limits and logic bords for ugrading iPod classics

hi all,

I’m new to the iPod scene, I’m interested in upgrading to an ultimate 512 GB iPod!

When gathering/parts /tools/info have heard that my current 30 GB model (PA446LL) has a hard-wired song limit of around 20,000 songs built into the logic board no matter how much storage memory I add. When I found this out I ordered a 60 GB gen 5.5 model iPod because I heard that its song limit is up to 50,000 on its logic boards.

Now I’m wondering if the board from the 60 model is swap-able with the other components from my 30 or if there is some other software related way to bypass these song limits without tampering with the hardware such as RockBox?

Any info is greatly appreciated, I recently acquired the iFlash quad board and want to maximize its potential in my little iPod so hopefully I’ll never need another one!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?
